Mr. & Mrs. Smith - Better Than Expected.

New York Daily News - Entertainment - Pitt, Jolie sizzle to 51M opening

Well, when I began thinking of my latest update to my blog, I was struggling with two different options. Either writing about Philip J. Purcell, the battered CEO and Chairman of Morgan Stanley (I would have definately enjoyed writing this one since I am a former Morgan Stanley employee), or writing about my latest trip to the movies to watch "Mr. & Mrs. Smith." The latter definately one because I wanted to write about something that I enjoyed, not the the two years of hell I endured under the ranks of Purcell.

The Brangelina debacle certainly helped this movie out when it came down to publicity. But, a good story with humor, just enough action and a great ending will add to the bottom line for Regency Studios (Regency is the movie studio who distributed Mr & Mrs. Smith.)

The story between Mr. John Smith (Brad Pitt) and Mrs. Jane Smith (Angelina Jolie) is written with such style and flair that it made me want to see more. All big movies like this have some type of down time. Either a bad action scene, overdramatized killing or a twisted story line that couldn't happen in the real world. But this time it was a bit different. You could really see that their lives were really different. And in some crazy way with some of the wild things that happen in today's world you can see that they could pull the lives they have in the movies in the real world. With Mr. Smith a big time contractor, using his construction company as a cover up, and Mrs. Smith using her computer network company as her cover up, this could definately happen.

To finally end my blog... I think on a scale of 1 to 5 stars, "Mr & Mrs. Smith" gets

*****Five Stars
